Description
These Spicy Jalapeño Popper Pinwheels are the perfect game day appetizer. They are easy to make and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 2 jalapeños, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 sheet (14.1 ounces) puff pastry, thawed
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapeños, and green onions. Season with salt and pepper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
- Roll up the puff pastry tightly.
- Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the roll into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels.
- Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a milder flavor, remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeños.
- You can add a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning before baking.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
