Delicious and easy-to-make classic lemon bars.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Make the crust: Whisk together flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Press into a 9×13 inch pan.
- Bake crust for 15-20 minutes.
- Make the filling: Whisk eggs, sugar, lemon juice, zest, and flour.
- Pour filling over the hot crust.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Let cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
- Cut into bars and serve.
Notes
- Ensure butter is cold for the crust.
- Cool bars completely before cutting.
